A lot of people have it stuck in their heads that scotch is exclusively for the elderly gentleman. The only way they imagine it is on the rocks or with a splash of soda water. Nothing could be further from the truth! In fact, scotch is fun a flavor and provides plenty of room for the imagination to run wild.
The Regal Star is my way of showing you that a refreshing scotch cocktail can be created with this much-maligned spirit.
In a shaker combine:
- 2 oz Chivas Regal
- 0.75 oz Licor 43
- 0.5 oz simple syrup
- 1 oz lemon juice
Add ice and shake. Strain into a snifter over ice and garnish with a slice of star fruit.
Its a refreshing scotch cocktail with light notes of vanilla and citrus and a light smokey finish.
